OPEN MIC MTL
A recurring Montreal open stage for musicians and performers, with an ongoing visual record of the people who take part.
Open Mic MTL is a recurring public open stage in Montreal. It gives musicians and performers a low-barrier place to try material, meet other artists and perform in front of a real audience.
The program is also a documentation project. Event photographs, performer names, dates and the changing spaces around the event create a record of a local scene that would otherwise disappear into individual phones and social feeds.
The Clubhouse treats the gathering itself as cultural infrastructure: the stage matters, but so does the habit of showing up.
